This project, funded by the National Institute for Standards and Technology (NIST) and led by George Mason University in collaboration with the Fairfax County Department of Public Safety Communications, aims to enhance the resilience of emergency communications through artificial intelligence (AI) enabled training enhancement for 9-1-1 call-takers and improved community engagement to educate the public on the use of 9-1-1. The project team will demonstrate an AI-powered voicebot application for realistic, scenario-based training for 9-1-1 call-takers and a dashboard to track the trainees' performance to help instructors with insights for training optimization.
